MS Riviera entered service in May 2012. Her sister ship is MS Marina and they belong to Oceania class ships.
The ship can carry between 1258 and 1447 passengers, with 800 crew members. The cost of building this ship was $ 500 million.
Riviera cruises are orientated on luxury Caribbean cruises, sailing from Miami, Florida, but during the summer the ship cruises in the Mediterranean, departing from Venice, Rome, and Barcelona.
The ship has a total of 629 cabins arranged on 6 decks, 4-reservations only-restaurants, buffet restaurant, and casual snack spots.
Jacques is the most high profile restaurant, first ever created by celebrity chef Jacques Pepin.
The restaurant is designed with the feel of a French bistro, and it’s focused on French cuisine.
There are as well “Polo Grill” steakhouse and the “Mediterranean Toscana”, both carryovers from the earlier ships of this cruise line, and “Red Ginger”, which is an amazing pan-Asian spot.

The ship had last dry dock in 2019 in Marseille, France where they’ve upgraded few dramatic changes such as a tony new lounge with sweeping sea views, new Baristas lounge, Victoria Arduino espresso machine “Rolls Royce of Coffee”, and few more things including some suites and lounge areas.
